oh how long it has been

March 7th, 2009 (11:04 am)
working

Mood: working
Music: none - the silence of my thoughts is all i have now

such a lot has happened since December. But for some reason, I just never got round to posting. Sorry for neglecting you all

Well, around the end of January I got my A Level results
(key - capital letter = full two course year, small letter = only the first year)
Chemistry - B
Maths - B
Biology B
Classics - b
English literature - b

So with these i applied for uni of auckland. i applied for Biomedical science, and got in. now i have just completed my first week at uni, and taking a mini break from writing up everything. (my lecture notes are barely legible scribbles)

And i started doing some baking....well all the dessert types of food, i don't like doing normal meals, leave that to my dad....so i have made scones, victoria sponge cakes, sausage rolls, pasties. In the afternoon i am planning to make a light fruit cake and smother it in frosting ^^

my mum is coming out for two weeks in about 4 weeks time, my brother is giving me one of his 400gig hardrives (my total space atm is around 70gig) and so mum is bringing that out with her. recently been introduced to the BSG world. been watching fringe like a religion as well ^^

for reward for my great results, my dad got me some movies, black beauty (i always cry when i see ginger dead on the truck), the second two Black Stallion films (missed out on the first one), the entire (3 season) Black Stallion series, and two books from the Black Stallion series; The Black Stallion Challenged and also The Black Stallion And The Shapeshifter.

Any of you horse nuts out there (well as crazy as me), I so recommend the Black Stallion series above everything else. There are more than a dozen books (latest is jan 2009 with the Shapeshifter), the tv series is from the 90's so it;s cheesy and full of mistakes and improbable storylines (i mean every time he gets knocked off the Black he is knocked unconscious, but good storylines otherwise going from america to france to america to new zealand.

Oh, and because I am uni'ing now, I have literally no free time. (well i mean i have wednesday off, but i have so much to read and write up, my weekends are not counting for much else either).....so to mark this transition, I made a video last saturday, as a kinda 'present' as it'll be my last one for a while.

Now that all the catchup talk is past, I made another video (oh atm, all my video links on [info]shadow_storm494 are kinda broken because of youtubes stupid copyright stuff. so I moved onto a new site....my own site, where i am still in process of uploading all videos. http://blacksphinx.ning.com

I found a perfect song, at first I was gonna do X Files, but i figured, it's my last for a while, so I changed it into Fringe. Its is episode centric around the Pilot (with the last few scenes from The Transfomation). It's a Olivia/John video....currently on youtube, I don't know for how long.

Fringe -- What About Now?

It would seem that somehow, they know i used Fringe content, but my video is still live, but i can't embed it due to the match, so please go the the link ^^ (You don't need to know anything about Fringe for this....apart from in the scenes at the lake, John is dead, and appears in Olivia's mind. And the scenes where she is in a dress with the blue lights, that's when she and John shared a consciousness.)

Fringe - Peter holding Olivia

I can't wait to watch this! I love Fringe. Sadly, I'm several eps behind on it but one day I'll catch up by marathoning it. :)

Fringe - Olivia&Peter

That was an awesome vid and song. I know it's on hiatus but I didn't realize until April. Wow.

I didn't know there were comics. I've been out of fandom since January. Yes, please link me.

Thanks!

fringe // butterfly exoskeleton

i wanted to use that song for a vid, and actually, this video started out as x files, but i decided as it would be my last for a while, make it fringe.... omg you're like mega behind....january?! tut tut

Comics: http://www.fringe-forum.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=56
(there are image scans in each thread for each comic, usually on first page....2 stories per comic. First story is a back-in-the-day with young walter and william bell, and the second is a standalone. Also, this does not include the Preview Comic that was released at comicon or wherever, that can be gotten here: http://www.fringepedia.net/index.php?title=Fringe_Preview_Comic

Hm, let's see, there is a fringe recap video that was made for christmas, called Happy Fringemas, narrated by Walter ^^ : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GmPPY7oaGjU

There is also a Ror-shak Forest video by Fringe, which I think was meant to kick off the entire series, but i only found it like late january (and that is totally awesome, everyone is uber-bad-ass! : http://www.fringetelevision.com/2008/09/fringe-music-video-ror-shak-forest.html)

Ha, I never thought I'd hear from you again. Good you found some small space of time...

I loved the Black stallion Movies, but I only know of one TV Series from End of 80's/Beginning 90's... Somehow there seem to be more than just one series out there, so I haven't really gotten around to it.

Did you see my entry about my newest SGA addiction? Thought you'd be cool with that. ;)
Recently bought XF 3rd Season, but didn't start watching yet.

There is the one TV series (three seasons long, twenty mins per epi) and the other 'series' I was talking about were the books. Yup Black Stallion rocks!

Ooh no, will take a gander (hehe, sga rocks, shame you're too late really with no more, it got cancelled to let room for sgu to start....)
