Everything I thought I knew....is wrong!

AND even in the book Unworthy which follows Full Circle, she is still dead!!

And I have a sinking feeling that Chakotay/7 is in the development!!

(PS I know that B'Lanna and Miral 'die', but their death is only faked and will join Paris and co in the delta quadrant on voyager....)

If you punch someone in the nose, that coinciding area of the brain behind the nose is the forebrain...consisting of the CEREBRUM. the CEREBELLUM is in the hind brain, just at the brain stem as it passes down to connect with the spinal cord, ie at the back of your skull towards its base.

Hehe. I did this about 3 weeks ago in my MedSci class, and I played about with one and a half brains and a slice of brain in my second laboratory.

I just watched the episode now. And I was like 'hey, that's not right!' I would've thought the writers wouldn't be dumb enough or not research enough to spot that mistake...

sorry it's been so long. this has been first opportunity for me to get online. we moved in on that saturday and sunday. completely. moved everything out of eastern beach over the two days. no problem with getting the dial up internet sorted. was sorted by the saturday night, BUT it is only on my dad's comp atm, so i can't really go on net at all cos he watches everything i do on his computer. so for past two weeks. i have had NO net whatsoever, apart from downloading ppt and pdf files for uni.

there is no net on my comp because my dad can't get the wireless stuff goin. well he can for his comp and modem, and for the printer for wireless. but he can't get a wireless network sorted for my computer to get on. *withdrawal symptons*

i begged my dad for a laptop i could take to uni and use for uni stuff, for net at uni (it's free wireless broadband at uni) and to get all my uni work done. but decent laptops are like in the $1000 range, which we cannot afford now. but come to arrangement with dad. i don't get a (new) laptop but i can take his to uni occasionally and get on net here.

so here i am. no internet essentially at home, and at uni we are restricted as well. i know you are allowed on facebook, so i hope i'm allowed on here haha.

suffering major withdrawak symptons. no net. not seen the latest eps of Fringe since Bad Dreams *gasp* i can't bear to think about it. i would be totally lost if i hadn't my media harddrive. i have already watched all seasons of xena, all films and start of series of hercules, over halfway through the 6 seasons of star trek voyager, started in dark angel as well. seen all of fringe again, and knightrider. i only hope that i can hold out until october for my missed eps of fringe. NO ONE TELL ME WHAT HAPPENS!! i don't even know the names of the epis.....oh crap i won't be able to get the comics *cries*.

and i am bumming out on floor near a plug cos the battery in this lasts like 10mins. it's riduclous. so yeah. i am slightly happier now i am back around a bit more...maybe like once a week.....and i have started to like driving to uni in morning now. over about 30km, i only go though four traffic lights to get to uni. rest is the glorious motorway.

well i'm going checking out my facebook....plus the fan is underneath the laptop, nd the laptop is on my knee so my knee is beginning to burn...O_o

:D if you reply, and i don't reply, i ain't ignoring you....just am very limited....at uni i am sacrificing time i should be doing to write up lecture notes and crap....hm....

^^ Good day at uni...studying for three or four hours in the morning, 45 min break and then 4hrs of lectures....only problem is that the air con is used way too much, in the morning i was shivering and went to my car to put on my coat and change my flip flops for shoes....and i was so cold in my last lecture, i ended up in an awkward kinda fetal position in my chair haha...but still mega cold!

At the minute, I am doing my chemistry assigment that counts toward my final grade (well i already done it...it's an online test thing....100% go me go me)

such a lot has happened since December. But for some reason, I just never got round to posting. Sorry for neglecting you all

Well, around the end of January I got my A Level results
(key - capital letter = full two course year, small letter = only the first year)
Chemistry - B
Maths - B
Biology B
Classics - b
English literature - b

So with these i applied for uni of auckland. i applied for Biomedical science, and got in. now i have just completed my first week at uni, and taking a mini break from writing up everything. (my lecture notes are barely legible scribbles)

And i started doing some baking....well all the dessert types of food, i don't like doing normal meals, leave that to my dad....so i have made scones, victoria sponge cakes, sausage rolls, pasties. In the afternoon i am planning to make a light fruit cake and smother it in frosting ^^

my mum is coming out for two weeks in about 4 weeks time, my brother is giving me one of his 400gig hardrives (my total space atm is around 70gig) and so mum is bringing that out with her. recently been introduced to the BSG world. been watching fringe like a religion as well ^^

for reward for my great results, my dad got me some movies, black beauty (i always cry when i see ginger dead on the truck), the second two Black Stallion films (missed out on the first one), the entire (3 season) Black Stallion series, and two books from the Black Stallion series; The Black Stallion Challenged and also The Black Stallion And The Shapeshifter.

Any of you horse nuts out there (well as crazy as me), I so recommend the Black Stallion series above everything else. There are more than a dozen books (latest is jan 2009 with the Shapeshifter), the tv series is from the 90's so it;s cheesy and full of mistakes and improbable storylines (i mean every time he gets knocked off the Black he is knocked unconscious, but good storylines otherwise going from america to france to america to new zealand.

Oh, and because I am uni'ing now, I have literally no free time. (well i mean i have wednesday off, but i have so much to read and write up, my weekends are not counting for much else either).....so to mark this transition, I made a video last saturday, as a kinda 'present' as it'll be my last one for a while.

Now that all the catchup talk is past, I made another video (oh atm, all my video links on shadow_storm494 are kinda broken because of youtubes stupid copyright stuff. so I moved onto a new site....my own site, where i am still in process of uploading all videos. http://blacksphinx.ning.com

I found a perfect song, at first I was gonna do X Files, but i figured, it's my last for a while, so I changed it into Fringe. Its is episode centric around the Pilot (with the last few scenes from The Transfomation). It's a Olivia/John video....currently on youtube, I don't know for how long.

'Use of PCR to compare DNA'

For prime example, in Christmas Carol (season 5).
Scully orders a PCR (polymerase chain reaction) to compare Emily Sim's DNA with that of her sister Melissa.
God I wanna scream at the screen.

A PCR only replicates teh DNA into substantial amounts, one small strand suddenly now has a million copies in a very short time. The actual procedure Scully uses to compare the DNA is to perform a gel electrophoresis to create the karyotype (the transparent sheets with the black lines on to represent the chromosomes). The size of the black lines are indicative of the amounts of DNA used in the original sample.

Man, I guess paying attention in Biology is a good thing, cos I understand a hell of a lot more of what is going on, medically-wise, but I also see the small errors as well....oh so slightly infurating when the same thing pops up again and again.

OK, I know I've been really out for the past couple of days, but I've talked it all out (thanks Chris, don't know what I'd do without you). Anyway, for a change, for a much happier mood. I have been working on this for a couple of days. I was doing a video for a friend for the weeks before that, so that is why the delay is so huge between then (3rd May was when i got back off holiday).

I visited my old college when I was on holiday back in England. John and Chris knew I was back in England and in college. I am just in the middle or so of this (fantastic) episode. This is my point though, Mulder sees Krycek, Mr X and later on The Lone Gunmen. Yet all are dead. Plus Mulder seems to be the only one who sees them. So logically we think, yeah it's him hallucinating. BUT Mr X hands Mulder a slip of paper that is quite real upon which is the details to contact Marita Covurrubias (sp). So how is that possible?

OK, it is from the 80's, 90's or now. It was on the radio. Sung by a female (solo?) artist. Lyrics I can remember include 'If you could see my heart is bleeding' and 'waking in each other's arms'. Something as well about dreaming/awaking, wanting to tell someone how they really feel so the chance is not lost if something happens.

I remember thinking it was a perfect song for a sparky video, but afterwards, the station didn't say the artist/title so i am a bit screwed. It was on a (New Zealand) Classical Hits show this morning about 4am.
